Saskatchewan invites 438 candidates to apply for SINP

Saskatchewan held its latest draw for SINP on September 27. In this draw, the Government issued 438 invites through its Express of Interest (EOI) system.

What is EOI?

EOI serves as ‘pre-application’ in SINP. Candidates have to answer questions based on work experience, education and proficiency in English or French, etc. The candidates receive a score out of 100 based on their answers. One has to score a minimum of 60 to qualify. The candidates are then ranked on the basis of their score.

225 of the invitations went out to candidates under the program’s Express Entry sub-category. The remaining 213 invitations were issued to the candidates in the Occupations In-Demand sub-category.

The minimum cut-off score for Express Entry candidates was 65  points. The score for Occupations In-Demand candidates was one point higher, at 66.

Two different Methods of applying for Canadian PR

The Express Entry candidates who received an invitation for SINP received an extra 600 points in their CRS score. This means they will have a good score before the next Federal draw and will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian PR.

The candidates who received an invite through the Occupations In-Demand sub-category will be able to apply for Canadian PR directly through SINP.
